Not So Soon

Well I said we'd talk soon. Guess I was wrong on that one. I just noticed the first and only one I did was July 22nd last year. So its been like almost 7 months. Yeah. Not so soon huh. I try to be to perfect when I do something. I started taking pictures and haven't figured out the whole posting pics with blogs etc, so I said the heck with it and just stopped.
I don't know what it is with me. I'm like this with Facebook too. I like reading everybody else's status and blog, but really don't type very much myself. My friend an fellow firefighter Jeannie got a notice from them to post something on my wall because I hadn't put anything on there in a certain amount of time. That's real sad. I guess I need to be better at jumping in with everyone rather that being a spectator. So I will try to be better.
With all that said what been happening lately. Nothing other that being sick twice already this year and watching my kids grow while I get older. My birthday is next week and we will not talk about that. Going to work everyday, keep a fire station going, and taking care of the family dominates my time. I think the best invention made was the DVR. I now can watch shows whenever so I don't have to worry about being in front of my TV at a given time.
As I was typing this I notice I tend to be this way in other areas. Like video games. I start them and get half to 3/4's of the way through and just stop and pick it up several months later and finish it. I guess I don't want to get obsessed with just one thing. I've seen friends get into one thing and it dominate their life. I don't want to be that way. I want to wear many hats and get my feet wet into different thing but not get stagnant into just one. We'll see how that plays out.
